路易莎·奥尔科特(Louisa May Alcott, 1832-1888),美女作。奥尔科特自幼受父亲的影响,很早就对写作发生兴趣,一生主要在靠近马萨诸塞州的康科德城度过,她和父亲均与爱默生领导的超验主义文人集团有交往。 为了帮维持贫穷的家庭,路易莎做过教师、女裁缝、护士,还做过女佣。这些经历无疑为她日后的写作打下了基础。路易莎15岁即写出了一部情节剧,21岁开始发表诗歌和小品。1868年,一位出版商建议她写一本“女孩子的书”,这便是为他赢得声誉的《小妇人》;此后又写出《小男人》及《乔的男孩子们》
