钱卫江，苏州人。中国摄影家协会会员，苏州市民间文艺家协会会员。

1972年起，专职从事古典园林摄影工作。1989年，摄影作品《窗含晓雾》选送参加芬兰国际风光摄影展。摄影作品《远眺喜马拉雅山脉》《太湖渔汛》等先后入选全国性展览并发表。

2015年起悉心研究中国紫砂茶壶的设计、纯手工制壶、烧制等工艺流程和中国古代全形拓技艺。通过自学苦练，在实践中反复摸索和试验，攻克了全手工制壶和电窑烧制的重重难关，成功制作了一批具有独特造型风格和设计专利的紫砂茶壶。在此基础上，探索运用中国古代拓印技术对成品茶壶进行了全形拓，完成了紫砂茶壶的配套延伸艺术作品。

由于作品风格独具、造型新颖，艺术创新性强，曾先后参加紫砂壶艺术交流、评选及展览，并收录于《中国宜兴紫砂壶》画册。

本书作者2015年自苏州园林局退休后，退而不休，开始悉心研究中国紫砂茶壶的设计、纯手工制壶、烧制等工艺流程和中国古代全形拓技艺，萌发了将紫砂茶壶和全形拓艺术结合起来的想法。经过六年摸索，制作的紫砂壶作品造型风格独具、新颖，艺术创新性强，得到了宜兴紫砂界的好评。此书收录作者自制的独特造型风格的紫砂茶壶，以及紫砂茶壶的全形拓拓片，并有多位苏州当地名人的题跋。作者还将制作的茶壶拓形成15米左右的长卷，配以书画名家题字作画，全面展示紫砂茶壶和全形拓艺术的完美结合。
