黄中军，男，教授，北京宣武红旗业余大学外语系任教，系主任。京市西城区政协常委北京市成.人高等教育英语教学研究会理事北京市西城区知联会常务理事全国公共英语等级考试考官。

本书共分8大部分，36个单元（unit），每个单元由4个部分（section）组成，每个部分都是以任务（task）的形式编排。Section 1中的Task 1-3主要训练学生的口语交际能力，从*初的模仿到实际对话，使学生能够通过该部分的学习，口语有一个飞跃式的进步。Section 2 中的task 1-2主要训练学生的听力能力，从简单到复杂，使学生的听力水平达到一个新的高度。Section 3是一篇主课文，课文后的task 1-4主要训练学生的词汇和口译、笔译能力，使学生通过学习，能够在翻译上有所突破。*后的section 4主要是重点句练习，它是一个口语强化练习，通过背诵重点句和编排小对话，使学生能够掌握每个单元的*关键、*实用的句子，突出即时性和实用性。
