科技典籍是珍贵的科学文化遗产,为今后制定科技文本中译外翻译策略和术语使用提供了参考,达到科技典籍英译实践与传播兼顾科学性和文化价值的充分传递,弘扬中国古代科技文明,又肩负起与文史哲典籍相似的传播文化使命。
中国古代科技长期领先于世界,成就涵盖数学、天文、农学和医学等领域。元代科技发展既继承了前代成就,又对后世产生了重要影响,数学、天文学等达到中国科技目前的高峰期。科技典籍是中国古代科技文化的书写载体,其英文译本和研究在海外中国研究领域占有重要地位。中国科技典籍英译活动成为汉译外翻译实践和翻译研究的新热点,也是国家加强国际传播能力,以文载道、以文传声,向世界阐释推介更多蕴藏中国智慧的优秀文化的重要体现。
作者简介
云峰,中央民族大学文学与新闻传播学院教授,曾任中央民族大学少数民族文学艺术研究所副所长、所长,中国少数民族文学学会常务理事、中国蒙古文学学会理事,中央民族大学校学术委员会委员,主要从事蒙汉文学艺术交流及汉族古典文学的研究及教学工作。
