英文读本透视了优选大流行病席卷各国之际,各层级行为主体(如居家隔离的个人或家庭、研制疫苗的科学家、追踪病毒传播的政府官员等)在数字媒体与资本高度组织化的工作与生活进程之中都少见依赖网络技术,个人隐私和数据的商业滥用问题备受靠前社会关注。然而,围绕着政府与公民之间的关系;占地位的商业化数字平台的控制;易感群体的脆弱性和数字资源的可得性;以阶层、社会性别、年龄和种族划分的跨领域的社会不平等;以及围绕着数字技术对民众的休闲、学习、工作的影响等诸多问题的对抗无处不在。总而言之,数字媒体联结的世界对抗正刻印在大流行病和环境危机合流的脉络之中,其间再现的多种社会张力与冲突交锋映照着国家与数字市场之间关系的根本性重组,并且严重制约了民众的日常生活。
曹晋:复旦大学新闻学院教授、美国哈佛燕京学者、富布赖特学者、教育部新世纪很好人才。复旦大学靠前出版研究中心主任,2018年受聘为联合国教科文组织“媒介与妇女”教席兼职研究员。曹晋教授的学术研究聚焦于传播政治经济学、社会性别理论以及媒介社会学(新媒体与社会变迁)。连续十年与靠前有名传播政治经济学家 Graham Murdock 教授和 Vincent Mosco 教授联合担任“新媒体与优选信息社会的公正传播”暑期学校主席并进行靠前课程的合作教学。2017年和2021年两度获得哈佛燕京学社资助,共同主办“新媒体与社会性别研究”工作坊。《媒介与社会性别研究:理论与实例》(2008&2015)获得上海市哲学社会科学很好论著类成果一等奖,“新媒体与社会性别”课程获评国家在线品质课程。她与 Vincent Mosco 教授联袂出版了《传播政治经济学与中国案例研究》(2018)、《批判传播研究:西方视野null
